One-to-one coaching for individuals or couples. We work on balance, lead-and-follow, musical timing and the quiet details that make movement read as intentional.

Halifax · Private & small-group ballroom
A contemporary school for adults who want to move together with more clarity, ease and style. We teach the mechanics of partnership first, then shape them into ballroom that feels natural rather than performed.
Programs in focus
Start from zero, refine an existing partnership, prepare for a wedding or build social confidence without being pushed into competition. Each path has a clear structure and room for personal pacing.

Details
We borrow the discipline of ballroom and the visual restraint of contemporary movement practice. The result is teaching that pays attention to posture and line, but never asks you to imitate a character that is not yours.
How we teach
Every session is structured enough to create measurable progress and open enough to adapt to different bodies, experience levels and reasons for learning.
We begin with weight placement, walking mechanics and the way your own balance changes before adding partnership.
Lead-and-follow is taught as information moving through the frame: clear enough to be understood, light enough to stay comfortable.
Timing becomes phrasing. You learn where to settle, travel, suspend and change energy without relying on memorized choreography alone.

The house
“The room should be quiet enough that you notice the shift of weight before the step.”
Our teaching environment is designed for adult learners: calm arrival areas, clear sightlines, measured class sizes and private-session blocks separated from busier group periods.
Walk through the studiosQuestions before the first step
You do not need a partner, special shoes or previous dance experience to begin. We will tell you what is useful for your specific program before your first visit.
No. Private coaching can be booked individually, and selected small-group programs rotate guided practice where appropriate. If you enrol as a couple, your instructor can keep the work focused on your partnership throughout.
Choose clothing that lets you move comfortably and shoes that stay secure on the foot. For a first session, clean indoor shoes with a relatively smooth sole are sufficient; specialized ballroom shoes can wait until you know what style and heel height suit you.
Core instruction includes Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha and selected social forms. Program emphasis varies by level and goal, and private sessions can concentrate on one style or move across several.
Yes. The 75-minute Private Frame session is the clearest way to experience our teaching before committing to a longer pathway. We use it to assess comfort, rhythm and goals, then recommend a next step only if one is useful.
